The reentry of Alfa Romeo into the US market should be cause for enthusiasts to rejoice and bend over backwards trying to get their hands on the only model currently available, the 4C. However, as some reviews of the car from Europe have suggested, it’s far from perfect and, in its current state, not really worth the same money as a Porsche Cayman.
Still, KBB takes it for a short spin and only says nice things about it, although it’s not what you’d call a full test. All the way on the other side of the video length spectrum, we have the TFL review which is far more in-depth and analyzes the car in more detail, coming up with a more balanced conclusion than “hurry and get your hands on one, because they’re not making a lot of them…”
The 4C could sell on looks alone, but the unassisted steering and other quirky touches will relegate it to the realm of oddball enthusiast brand-lover choices, unless the American version is significantly more sorted than what European reviewers drove.
At least it gets normal headlights; one less thing to bash it for.
