Consumer Reports’ latest test session included the Buick Regal and Volvo S60, two premium sedans that are seen as contenders for the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
As a matter of fact, the Buick Regal finished just one point behind the class-leading BMW 328i and managed to tie the Mercedes C250 for second place in Consumer Reports’ overall ratings of recommended upscale sport sedans, despite costing several thousand dollars less.
The reviewer appreciated the Regal’s European-style ride and sharp handling inherited from the Opel Insignia upon which it is based, as well as the sedan’s quiet interior. Consumer Reports also tested another car from the segment, the Volvo S60, which also received a favorable rating. Scroll down to watch both reviews.
