The intention of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) is to not use an existing (Ferrari) chassis this time for the creation of their vision of a modern supercar. The carbon shell you see here will form the basis for the company’s upcoming all-new car, currently known as SCG 003.

US magazine Road&Track has the low-down and a video, as well. The publication explains that this is a very important step for SCG, since it marks James Glickenhaus’ transition from collector/enthusiast to an actual builder of cars from the ground up.

He says in the video that his intention with this upcoming car is to revive the lightweight spirit of sports cars of old, with an obvious modern twist. Power will come from a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 of unspecified origin.

The SCG003 will debut at the 2015 Geneva motor show, as a street car, though chances are the racing version will be unveiled at the same venue. The latter will then be entered into the Nürburgring 24 hour race, with the aim of taking the fight to the big names.
