This isn’t the first review of the Ferrari LaFerrari, but since the Prancing Horse rolls out a hypercar once every decade and very few journalists have access to it, we thought you’d enjoy seeing one more review.
In the latest episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago travels to Ferrari’s home in Italy to drive the successor to the Enzo, the 950hp La Ferrari. The company’s most powerful road car ever and the first production hybrid Ferrari in history was driven on the Fiorano race track and on country roads around Maranello, with Lago being amazed of how easy the LaFerrari is to drive on the track.
He was also thrilled with the instant power delivery, the sharp steering and acceleration of the Italian hypercar. But these are things that one expects of the LaFerrari. What’s more interesting is how the car feels on the road, and in this respect the LaFerrari is described as frustrating, as it has too much power and is too wide for the road.
Finally, Lago says Ferrari didn’t let him test the car’s performance specs with the VBox data recorder. I guess this means it will be a long time before we can see a comparison test with the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder.
