As sure as it was that Opel’s new generation Corsa would keep fairly close to the model it replaces, it’s just as certain that GM’s European division will eventually release a performance variant of the three-door model with the OPC logo (or VXR for Vauxhall), even though it hasn’t officially talked about it yet.
If you dislike imagining shapes and details on your own, you can give Carscoops reader Damian Sebastien a round of applause for his effort to Photoshop an OPC costume on the latest Corsa hatch.
The styling treatment involves a lower stance and arch-filling alloy rims wrapped in low-profile rubber with large brake discs, a big roof spoiler and enlarged air vents on the front bumper together with some aluminum trims.
We wouldn’t rule out a new powertrain just yet, but Opel could also keep the same or perhaps a tweaked iteration of the current Corsa OPC’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 189hp (192PS) in base trim and 207hp (210PS) on the more hardcore OPC Nürburgring Edition.

Tip of the hat to Damian for the rendering!
