In a move that was somewhat expected, Corinna Schumacher has put the plane that the seven times Formula One Champion used to fly himself up for sale.
Say what you may about this decision, but it was certainly not an easy one to make and the reasons behind it are pretty much obvious – there will be no one else to fly it, as Schumi’s chances for a full recovery are almost null.
Seven months after hitting his head on a rock during a horrible ski accident in the French alps, Michael Schumacher is facing what could be years of a slow recovery – but in the meantime, doctors from a Swiss rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne are trying to get him fit enough to be transferred to his home in Gland, which is not that far away from Lausanne.
The personal jet for sale is an eight-seat silver Dassault Falcon 2000LX – sporting Schumi’s initials on the rear wing and M-IKEL as an identification number – which Michael himself used to fly all over the world before his accident.
Having had an initial starting price of 25 million euros ($33.588 million), Corinna Schumacher has apparently put it up for sale for 20 million euros ($26.861 million), according to Germany’s Bilde.
