It seems that Kia is becoming too European in its approach to announcing and ultimately revealing new models.
They appear to have picked up the bad habit of teasing, something which they didn’t do before, when their models were exclusively bargain basement.
After teasing the exterior of the new Sorento SUV, it’s now time for them to show us a stylized interpretation of the interior – no real photos yet, though.
Only one shot was released and it shows a dashboard that’s in-line with what the brand is doing elsewhere in its range. Kia promises the following:
“The smoothly-contoured cabin features a higher proportion of soft-touch materials, leather and stitching, as well as Kia’s latest HMI (human-machine interface). A large infotainment screen dominates the centre of the dashboard, which employs long, flowing shapes to cosset the driver and front passenger and to emphasise the width and space of the larger cabin.”
All this is nice and both teasers seem to point towards a nice looking, modern and high(er) quality SUV. We won’t know if that’s really the case until it falls into the hands of reviewers, but that will only happen after its official Paris motor show debut, set to take place on October 2.
