While current Aston Martins are cool and all, with their unmatched style and presence, they are not the best to drive, or especially good at anything else other than making their owner feel like a million bucks.
However, with an influx of AMG know-how, we’re expecting the next generation of Astons to be much better and in tune with the times, featuring all the modern touches that the current range lacks – they may even get new names…
Autocar informs us that Aston has applied for trademarks for names ranging from DB10 right through to DB14.
The next car they’re set to release will “definitely be a DB,” but according to the brand’s design director, Marek Reichman, “what number will follow, that’s yet to be decided.”
However, the same source adds that while there is the strong desire to move on from the DB9 (pictured) name, apparently, some execs are for retaining it.
Whatever they decide, the new model should be unveiled next year, and go on sale in 2016, sporting what is believed to be an AMG-sourced twin-turbo V8.
