Yes, 700 hp is about as much push as you get in a stock muscle car these days, so it isn’t all that impressive as a number.
However, if the car in question is the ultralight Caparo T1, whose power output has been upped from 575 hp up to 700, along with a series of improvements and refinements, then your facial expression you should be harboring should be the exact opposite to that of complete boredom.
They’re also making its name longer, calling it the T1 Evolution. Aside from the power boost, the car promises to boast an “updated chassis to meet strictest safety criteria,” and not burst into flames with a journo at the wheel…
The suspension has been recalibrated and is now stiffer, and the car will feature ABS and traction and stability controls which weren’t previously available. You will even be able to download telemetry data now.
The general driving experience is also said to be one of “improved driver comfort.”
Even so, this will be a mad, mad car when it comes out and probably as fast around a track than the new hybrid hypercars, or, who knows, maybe even faster still.
