The wraps are off Infiniti’s new ESQ small crossover based on the pre-facelift Nissan Juke NISMO RS, which was made exclusively for China.
Since the Nissan Juke isn’t offered in the PRC, Infiniti’s brass chose the easy road with the ESQ, simply swapping the NISMO RS model’s badges and front grille, while also modifying the colors, interior trim decor and equipment levels.
The funny thing is that, Infiniti didn’t even bother to base the car on the most recently updated version of the Juke that was presented at the Geneva Motor Show this past March.
In China, the ESQ will be offered exclusively with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol rated at 200PS (197hp) and of 250Nm, paired to a 7-speed CVT and standard all-wheel drive.
