When Land Rover’s new 2015 Discovery Sport SUV reaches dealerships next year, it will start from $37,995 plus a $925 destination and delivery fee in the States, and from £30,000 in the UK.
The U.S. version of the 5+2 seater SUV will go on sale in early 2015 offering a standard 240hp turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine paired to a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
Standard comfort and safety features on the base model will include automatic halogen headlamps and daytime running lights, grained part-leather seats, Trailer Stability Assist, Tow Assist & Tow Hitch Assist, rain-sensitive wipers, dual-zone electronic climate control and an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen display and navigation.
In the UK, Land Rover will first launch the 187hp (190PS) 2.2-liter turbo diesel SD4 model with standard all-wheel drive in January 2015, priced at £32,395. A 6-speed manual will be standard, with the 9sp automatic offered as an option.
Later in the year, the range will be enhanced with the entry-level, two-wheel drive eD4 diesel model that will start from £30,000. Land Rover has not yet shared any details about the engine, but expect it to produce around 150hp.
