Last time we caught up with Citroen’s engineers, they were evaluating test mules of the next Jumpy; not anymore, as they’ve now moved on to full body prototypes.

While Citroen found the appearance of the Tubik van concept from the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show far too radical for regular consumption, they still believe in it, as it has influenced the design of the new Jumpy that features a prominent stubby face with higher-placed than usual headlamps and an upright rear end.

Production of the next Jumpy is slated to start in 2015. It will be offered in a number of different versions, including a people-carrier edition, which may end up using the Tubik moniker to differentiate itself from the other commercial models in the range.
