An El Monte, California, man filmed this video of two patrol cars passing through a residential area intersection.

In the footage that was filmed in May of 2013, we see the first black-and-white Ford Crown Victoria taking a more defensive approach when crossing through, but the second car came full throttle flying over the road.

The YouTube user who took the video, Massey Forbusiness wrote:

“Walking my kids home from school when I hear police sirens in the distance. As usual, I’m armed with some kind of camera. The 1st cruiser approaches with caution due to the Burgundy mini-van stopped at the intersection of Ferris Rd. & Maxson Rd..”

“The 2nd one seemed to do it on purpose since he clearly saw me filming and FLOORED the MONSTER Crown Victoria which set it in flight! Right before the 2nd cruiser approaches, you’ll hear me yell at a youngster on his bike to slow down, “stop brother” before he crossed paths with the cruiser. Surprised that at least one of the cruisers didn’t wreck!”

By law, drivers and road users in general, have to yield the right-of-way to fire engines, ambulances, police cars, and other disaster or emergency vehicles that have their lights flashing.

Still, given the residential nature of the street and the strong possibility of having kids running around on foot or a bicycle, we think the second cop should have toned it down a few notches. What do you say?
