Canadian performer deadmau5 is famed for pushing certain automotive limits. Perhaps to afford this, he’s taken another job: UberX driver with his McLaren 650S.
The musician tweeted earlier this month about applying to become an UberX driver, where he’d pick up the app’s users with his own car, in this case a very nice super car. That pretty well beats the 2007 Honda Accord you usually get when you request an UberX ride, or at least in my experience.
in toronto? need a lift? I’m working for @uber tonight, downtown toronto. get lucky.

In addition to being picked up in a McLaren, deadmau5’s passengers were in for a treat because he’s friendlier than any UberX driver I’ve ever encountered. In the video provided by Uber, he’s talking to his passengers about everything from his cat to the Burger King-Tim Horton’s deal.
So a celebrity known for a Nyan Cat Ferrari picks you up in a $265,000 car with the push of an app icon. Sounds like a good gig, for people in Toronto anyway.
