GM is up to its old stripy tricks again, this time with the new 2015 GMC Sierra Carbon Edition that follows in the footsteps of the 2015 Chevy Silverado Rally.
Whereas its Chevy cousin employed black matte stripes, the somewhat more upscale Sierra goes for fancier (faux) carbon fiber graphics. Not that it doesn’t look good, but calling it the 2015 Sierra Carbon Edition is pushing it…
The package is available in three different versions on the 2015 Sierra 1500 starting with the base Carbon Edition offered on the double cab model that has a black painted grille, carbon fiber graphics, and body-colored trim.
It also gets added standard content such as remote keyless entry, a 110-volt power outlet and light-emitting diode, or LED, cargo box lighting.
The second package is the Carbon 20 Edition offered exclusively on the SLE Double-Cab that sports 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels (hence the name).
Finally, there’s the Carbon 22 Edition, available on both Sierra SLE double- and crew cab models, which gains four-inch black tubular side steps, 22-inch black alloy wheels and dual-zone climate controls.
All Carbon Editions can be had with two- or four-wheel drive and either a 285hp 4.3L V6 or a 355hp 5.3L V8, with prices starting from $33,075 for the Base version, $38,275 for the Carbon 20 and $42,270 for the Carbon 22.
