The new Espace is one of the most interesting production debuts at this year’s Paris Motor Show, notably because Renault shifted the car’s character from traditional MPV to a more crossover-inspired proposal.
The decision to follow a different path with the fourth-generation Espace was made to keep up with the times, as even in Europe, buyers are moving away from minivans or MPVs to crossovers and SUVs.
Renault only released a handful of press shots this morning, but thanks to Dacia-Klub forum member Maciek, we have several live pictures of the car, including of the interior that will be available in five- and seven-seat configurations.
While the French model adopted a more muscular exterior look influenced by crossovers, it promises to retain its MPV-ness to the fullest inside with “ingenious interior modularity”.
