Alongside the standard Mercedes-AMG C 63 and C 63 S models officially unveiled earlier this week, the automaker will offer a highly accessorized “Edition 1” version.
New press photos and details have emerged following the images leaked from Mercedes’ consumer websites. As the automaker has accustomed us lately, the Edition 1 version of the C 63 will be available only during the first year of production.
Available for both the C 63 and C 63 S either in sedan or wagon form, the Edition 1 package brings exclusive design and equipment features. Styling-wise, there are six exterior paint finishes to choose from: polar white, designo diamond white bright, iridium silver metallic, palladium silver metallic, obsidian black metallic and the AMG-exclusive paint finish designo iridium silver magno.
Edition 1 models also get forged wheels in 8.5 x 19 and 9.5 x 19 cross-spoke design, painted matte black with the rim painted in red and shod with 245/35 R 19 (front) and 265/35 R 19 (rear) tyres. Standard equipment also includes the Night package, which features high-gloss black front wing, mirror caps, sill cladding inlays, waistline trim and window frames, silver chrome double fin in the radiator grille, and tinted rear windows.
The plethora of styling tweaks continue with black-chromed twin end pipe fairings, red decals on radiator grille and wing mirrors, sport stripes in matte graphite grey above sill cladding and a separation edge in high-gloss black – the latter only for the sedan.
For the interior, Edition 1 models bring performance seats, door center panels and armrest in black nappa leather with diamond pattern and red contrasting stitching, designo seatbelts in red, and a flat-bottomed performance steering wheel with red 12-o’clock marking in DINAMICA microfibre, red contrasting stitching, fairing in silver chrome with “Edition 1” lettering and silver-colored aluminium shift paddles.
Other distinguishing features are the carbon red pepper/light aluminum trim elements with longitudinal grain and red filaments and the black floor mats with “AMG” lettering and piping in red.
