Since the Lexus RC (and RC-F) is a direct rival to the BMW 4-Series (and M4 respectively), a drop-top variant would definitely be in order, so as to properly take the fight to the Germans on all fronts.
The transformation of the RC-F into a convertible would probably look a lot like what X-Tomi created in the rendering posted below.
It’s a simple chop job, but it seems that once the roof is off, the wider wheelarches of the F really stand out. It looks good and for those exclusively looking for infinite headroom, it’d be the only one worth looking at – you’d also hear the vocal V8’s baritone bellows better.
There’s a strong chance that Lexus will launch this model in due time; after all, their convertibles have been known to sell really well, even when they’re butt-ugly, like the SC.
