Like the Boxster, the Porsche Cayman series is also due to undergo a subtle facelift within the next 18 months, and we have the first scoop shots of an early development prototype.
Porsche’s much lauded two-seater model is expected to receive engineering and wardrobe updates, including the addition of big-winged GT4 edition, which we’ve already spied testing.
On this prototype, the changes are concentrated on the front end that will receive a restyled pair of headlamps (hidden under stickers here) along with a new bumper housing different LED daytime running lights.
We suspect that Porsche will apply a minor facelift to the rear end as well by the time the car is ready for launch.
While the Germans are definitely working on a new generation of four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engines, these will most probably appear in the all-new, 3rd iteration of the Cayman/Boxster series and not in the updated models.
