While we totally got and appreciated the work that went into creating the ad for the new Twingo, it’s clear Renault’s marketing arm didn’t give that much thought (and interest) to the one aimed at making people buy their new Trafic van.
The latest incarnation of the Trafic was cast as a KITT-wannabe in the (inexplicably teased) new promo video which really got us wondering what the heck they were going to show. A lot of fuss for nothing at all, and now that we know it’s really nothing of interest. The van could have been portrayed in a more practical, modern light, but this ad says nothing of the sort…
It’s not the kind of vehicle you give personality to via a clever ad campaign, but one whose impressive technology, efficiency and load-lugging capacity you emphasize most of all – (pointless) drivel is the best word to describe this ad.
