The Tesla Model S is definitely a very suitable car to wear something like this newfangled “electrified zebra print,” basically electroluminescent paint that glows when you give energize it.
It’s the exact opposite of inconspicuous, and questionably tasteful, but definitely a sight were you to see one of these rolling past on the road.
The paint even has a name – it’s called LumiLor Electroluminescent Coating System, and it’s actually not necessarily destined for automotive use. In fact, as the company itself states on its official site, applying the coating equates to “effectively transforming any surface coated into a lamp. And when the power is turned off, surfaces coated with LumiLor return to their normal appearance. It can even go over curves and around corners.”
Check out the illuminated Model S below – do you think this could become a fad?
