Scion is trying to make the tC coupe more appealing to customers and its best shot so far is a limited edition model called tC Release Series 9.0.
Created with the help of Jeremy Lookofsky of Cartel Customs, the limited series coupe features a two-tone black and orange body as well as designer details.
Only 2,000 units of the tC Release Series 9.0 will be built, all featuring a unique black and magma exterior with blacked out Scion badge, an aero kit designed by Cartel Customs, a center exhaust, orange front seat belts and a Smart Key with Push Button Start featuring the “Cartel Logo”.
The exterior’s theme continues in the cabin with orange stitching on the steering wheel and seats, while the dashboard components, door panels and shifter surround feature the same orange paint as the exterior.
Other features of the limited edition model include black finish alloy wheels with matching center cap, gloss black finish side mirrors and door handles, Release Series badge mirror cover, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) lowering springs, high-profile rear spoiler and Cartel logo floor and cargo mats.
The 2015 Scion tC Release Series 9.0 is powered by the same 178hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine available with either six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and Dynamic Rev Management technology.
Prices start from $23,190 for the manual transmission and from $24,340 for the automatic transmission, excluding a $770 delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee. Deliveries begin in January 2015.
