What springs to mind when you first hear of a vehicle that steers with its rear wheels which don’t pivot individually, but rather both move as a whole?
If you though earth moving equipment, then yes, that’s what we thought too, but apparently Alpine has other ideas…
We didn’t at first notice the articulation, but then it became apparent. There is a small icon in the sole photo posted on the firm’s Twitter account that does make it look like it’s pivoting, so we’ll go with it too.
The vehicle you see in the sketch posted below is not the final design for Alpine’s entry into the select world of Vision GT cars for Gran Turismo 6. However, were they to leave it as is or just make minor changes, it’d arguably be the most extreme one we’ve seen thus far.
What do you think: would such a vehicle stand any chance of actually working were it to be made in reality? Is it not, perhaps, a bit too extreme and far-fetched?
