At the Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil Chevrolet introduced four concept cars which may or may not reach production.
The S10 High Country is a concept for a high-spec S10 pickup (sold as the Colorado in the US) which features darkened chrome 18-inch wheels with unique finish, chrome trim at the base of the door windows and a bed cover. The interior is based on the local-market 2015 Trailblazer SUV and features two-tone leather upholstery and gloss black trim.
Chevrolet also revealed two concepts based on the Onix compact hatchback. The first one is called Onix Track Day and it envisions a high-performance version which includes mechanical, suspension, engine, brakes and exhaust upgrades. The car is powered by the Ecotec 1.8L Flex engine sourced from the Cruze which additions including a new stainless steel exhaust, high flow air filter and recalibrated fuel injection for a power output of more than 150 hp.
Styling upgrades include a rear spoiler, redesigned bumpers and custom alloy wheels, while the interior features bucket seats, flat-bottomed steering wheel and other finishing details.
The second Onix-based concept is the Onix Effect, which also proposes a sporty look but in a more understated way. The car rides on dark 15-inch alloys and features and aero package including skirts and spoilers. Details include the smoked headlights and taillights, gloss black roof, B-pillars, mirror caps and front grille frame. Stickers on the hood, sides and tailgate complete the exterior changes.
Inside, the study features a flat-bottomed steering wheel, red satin accents, embroidered carpets and new instruments with Effect graphics. No changes were operated under the hood, with study sourcing the 106hp 1.4-liter engine from the Onix LTZ.
Finally, the fourth concept car is the Cobalt 2015, which showcases the personalization potential of the compact sedan. Styling tweaks include 16-inch alloy wheels, radiator grille with chrome frame and gloss black accents. The cabin gets Jet Black dashboard, doors and floor mats.
