General Motors has announced three more recalls for its vehicles, bringing the count up to around 30 million cars and trucks recalled in 2014.
The company announced Saturday an updated recall chart and several more recalls covering various models. Here’s the rundown:
More than 93,000 2013-2015 Chevy Spark and Spark EV models, including 89,000 in the U.S., are being recalled over a hood latch that could corrode and prevent the hood from latching correctly.
About 430,000 2010-2015 Cadillac SRXs and Saab 9-4Xs are affected by a recall concerning a loose joint in the rear suspension that could cause separation in the system. The recall comes several days after the automaker recalled SRXs in China over a similar issue, according to The Detroit News. GM says 290,107 of these vehicles are in the U.S., but considering only about 500 Saab 9-4Xs were ever made, these are pretty much all of the current SRXs on the road – some of which may be on dealer lots and are currently being inspected.
Another recall involves 117,000 of the following 2013-2014 vehicles: Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, Traverse, Express and Silverado HD; the Cadillac CTS and Escalade, GMC Sierra HD, Yukon, Yukon XL, Acadia and Savanna and the Buick Enclave. These concern “chassis control module contamination.”
Roughly 10,000 Cadillac CTS-V and STS-V sedans have a fuel pump module that could overheat.
And nearly 50,000 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevy Caprice police vehicles are now embroiled in the “unintended key rotation” problem that has affected millions of other GM vehicles this year.
The grand total of GM recalls this year now stands at 74. GM has updated their chart, which you can view below.
