Infiniti’s Q80 Inspiration Concept has obviously eclipsed the brand’s other world premiere at the Paris Auto Show, the S Design package for the QX70 SUV.
Bringing a more aggressive look, QX70 S Design features dark chrome exterior details including the grille, foglight surrounds, side air scoops, side sills and rear number plate surround.
Also contributing to the more sinister look are the smoked headlights and the while 21-inch six-spoke alloys finished in black, which match the black roof rails and black mirrors.
Based on the S-Premium grade, the S Design package brings black lacquer finish on the center console and purple stitching for the seats, steering, wheel, armrest and door trims.
Nothing changes under the hood, with the SUV formerly known as the FX being available in Europe with two V6 engines, a 238PS (235hp) 3.0-liter diesel and a 320PS (316hp) 3.7-liter petrol unit, and a 390PS (385hp) 5.0-liter V8 petrol. That’s right, while in the US the V8 version has been discontinued, Infiniti’s flagship SUV continues to be offered in Europe with the eight-cylinder unit which allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and to reach an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The Infiniti QX70 S Design will go on sale in select countries in western Europe right after its premiere at the Paris Auto Show.
