While making no official announcement, Lexus let the new NX SUV’s pricing slip through its 2015MY catalogue.
Two versions of the 2015 NX are offered in the United States, the NX 200t powered by a 235hp (238PS) 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline four, and the hybrid NX 300h with a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle gasoline unit and an electric motor producing a combined 194hp (197PS).
Excluding a $925 delivery and handling fee (*), the NX 200t starts at $34,480 for the front-wheel drive model and $35,880 for the AWD version, while the NX 300h is listed at $39,720 with FWD and $41,310 with AWD.
One of Lexus’ main rivals will be the BMW X3 which starts at $38,500 for the RWD sDrive28i climbing to $40,500 for the AWD xDrive28i (both powered by a 240hp 2.0L Turbo). The more-fuel efficient xDrive28d with a 180hp 2.0L diesel is available from $42,000. All BMW prices exclude a $950 destination charge.
