If you enjoyed 2013’s Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip (the one that got Richard Hammond banned from driving in France), then you will undoubtedly be hyped for the sequel. Called The Perfect Road Trip 2, it’s just been previewed/announced via the usual style of TG trailer.
The action is set in Italy, where Jeremy and Richard will be driving “500 miles from Venice to the Isle of Capri via Bologna, Siena, Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano on the stunning Amalfi coast.”
The cars they’ll be driving are the McLaren 650S and Lamborghini Huracan, as well as classic 1960s Alfa Romeo Spiders and Ford Capris (among others).
There’s really nothing out of the ordinary about it, though it will probably make for a fun watch – the only other point worth mentioning is Richard’s crash in a Jaguar F-Type. It’s nothing serious, but the trailer shows a brief instance where he slides off the track and hits the side rails.
