What car do you go for if all you’re looking for in your next vehicle is for it to be a hybrid and have seven seats?
Toyota says your only choice in Europe is their Prius+ (known as the Prius v in the US), a model which just got updated and refreshed some nearly three years after its original launch.
The changes are by no means drastic: a more prominent Toyota badge that visually extends the nose of the car further than before, a lower-looking grille, new LED headlights “which use a cylindrical projector for both high and low beam.” Bumpers are reworked too, while the rear light clusters get a refresh as well, as dos the license plate holder.
Inside, alterations are minor and subdued. It now features “dark silver metallic finish for the driver’s switchgear and the air conditioning dial control and a chrome finish for the door handles,” as well as extra bits of chrome trim dotted around. The main focus point will be the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system which comes with all expected functions, from showing the reversing camera to sat-nav with “3D city modelling with landmark graphics.”
Toyota claims to also have improved the ride and handling characteristics too, as well as interior noise and harshness levels in tandem. The hybrid powertrain is also now Euro6 compliant.
