Want a better and closer look at Fiat’s new 500X? The Italians have just dropped more than 170 pictures of their small crossover on the occasion of its media presentation in Europe.
The 500X will go on sale worldwide during the first half of 2015 following its North American premiere at next week’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
It’s the latest addition to Fiat’s growing 500 family after the 500 mini, 500C mini convertible, 500L minivan, 500L Trekking tall-riding MPV and the 500L Living long MPV models.
Fiat plans to offer two different versions of the 500X, one intended as a more stylish take on the crossover segment in Pop, Popstar and Lounge trim levels, and the other with a more rugged look and technology available in Cross and Cross Plus trim grades.
Engine options will vary from market to market, with Europe to get a multitude of diesel and gasoline units such as the 140PS and 170PS 1.4 Turbo MultiAir II and 120PS and 140PS 1.6 MultiJet II.
All-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic will be offered on certain models, including the 184PS 2.4-liter Tigershark gasoline engine, that will be available in North America.
