If you were wondering what’s new or different about the refreshed 2016 Mazda CX-5’s interior, the short answer is, not much.
These scans, which were forwarded to us by Carscoops’ reader Ron, are from the same JDM brochure as the exterior shots and they give us our first look at the updated crossover model’s cabin.
Looking through the images, we see new controls for the air-conditioning system positioned higher up on the center console, an electronic handbrake, decorative chrome accents for the instrument panel gauges and possibly, reworked buttons and a modified rotary knob for the infotainment system – though, the quality of the pictures doesn’t allow us to be certain for the latter.
The 2016 CX-5 will also get a light makeover on the outside with a revised fascia, bumpers and lights. It will make its world premiere alongside the 2016MY Mazda6 at the 2014 LA Auto Show this week.
Thanks to Ron for the pictures!
