Lexus is giving us an exaggerated teaser of a future RC Convertible model with the LF-C2 concept study at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
“The LF-C2 concept shows what’s in store for our brand’s future design direction,” said Jeff Bracken, Lexus group vice president. “This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus’ devotion to emotional designs as well as our passion for an exceptional driving experience.”
It’s designed as a 2+2 seater open top model with a cool looking pair of humps behind the rear passengers, with the concept measuring 4,715 mm (185.6 inches) long, 1,840mm (72.4 inches) wide and 1,385mm (54.5 inches) tall, making it 23mm (0.9 inches) longer and 13mm (0.5 inches) lower than the RC coupe. The width remains the same.
Besides the absence of the roof, the LF-C2 has some unique styling touches such as the rear light clusters, the reworked bumpers and LED headlights on the outside, while the interior is a…bright-blue LED-fest.
Lexus didn’t say anything about the powertrain, but a future RC Convertible would likely share the same engine range with the coupe.
