You know Mitsubishi is in a sad state when one of the biggest production car news coming from the LA Show is a confirmation that the Mirage sedan is heading to the States.
Don Swearingen, Mitsubishi Motors North America’s executive vice president broke the…exciting news to Motor Trend on the sidelines of the show, but he didn’t provide a timeline, with the magazine speculating that it could hit dealers “within a year or two”.
What we find to be one of the most hideous sedan transformations of a hatchback model, has already been presented in Asian markets as the Mitsubishi Attrage, and will also be sold as a Chrysler in Mexico and China.
Swearingen also mentioned that the upcoming facelift of the Outlander will be introduced at the New York Auto Show next April and that the smaller Outlander Sport will get an optional 2.4-liter four-pot, plus a more refined CVT and a quieter cabin for the “volume orientated” 2.0-liter model.
