The growing list of special concept cars with the Vision GT moniker for the Gran Turismo 6 racing game will soon welcome a member of from the Corvette family.
From the teaser, we see that the Corvette Vision GT is a barchetta-style open top racer featuring an air-deflector instead of a regular windscreen, but the rest remains unknown and Chevy’s release doesn’t offer anything other than a vague date that may or may not point to the LA Auto Show.
“When you combine the passion of the video gamer community with the passion of Corvette fans, you get the surprise we have in store for you in a few days. Stay tuned,” reads Chevy’s statement.
While many of the Vision GT concepts are purely digital creations, some have come to life, including the Toyota FT-1, Aston Martin DP-100, VW GTI Roadster (another barchetta model) and the AMG, so we wouldn’t be surprised if GM did the same with the Corvette study in LA.
