If it’s exclusivity you’re after then we have the perfect car for you. It’s a Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition, one of only 50 made (out of a total run of just 500 LFAs) is on sale in the UK for the paltry sum of £440,000 – or USD$700,000 if you live in the States.
Sure, the price tag is steep, but Lexus’ limited edition supercar is quite a peach to look at and to drive even in stock form.
For one, it is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 that sounds bonkers and, in spite of the relatively modest (compared to rivals like the F12berlinetta or the Aventador) output of 552bhp, its 3.7 second 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) run and 325 km/h (202 mph) top speed are, in our books, more than adequate.
The Nürburgring Edition, despite being 10bhp more powerful than the stock LFA, retains the same straight-line performance. That’s due to the larger front spoiler and fixed rear wing that create more drag but also more downforce, which makes it 8.85 seconds faster per lap around the Nordschleife.
Moreover, the suspension is retuned and the car height is reduced by 10mm, the new wheels are fitted with special high-grip tires and the six-speed sequential gearbox changes cogs in 0.15 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the stock LFA.
The LFA that’s up for sale at Joe Macari Performance Cars in London is a 2012 model, has two previous owners and 6,300 miles (10,008 km) on the odometer. It’s also white, with a tastefully done black alcantara interior as you can see in the gallery that follows.
You’d better hurry up, too, as the independent dealer says it’s believed to be the sole example available in Europe…
