Hyundai doesn’t sell the desirable Genesis Coupe in Europe, so Mat Watson traveled all the way to the US to try it out for AutoExpress. He got to test the 350 hp 3.8-liter V6-engined R-Spec model and found it to be a very convincing package.
Right from the start, he points out the car’s price and its value, arguing that it provides a lot of bang-for-buck. Were it to be sold in Europe at equivalent prices, then it would be on par with some hot hatches, although not in V6 form.
In the States, the Genesis Coupe, starts off at around $26,000 – that sounds pretty reasonable, although you will have to pay at least $29,000 to get the six-cylinder; the base engine is a 2.0-liter four-pot turbo with 275 hp.
