We already know that the 542hp (550PS) Range Rover Sport SVR feels more at home on a circuit than on off-road trails, as it is the fastest SUV around the Nürburgring Nordscheife with a 8:14 lap.

Land Rover is now showing us how balanced the Range Rover Sport SVR’s chassis is in a video shot on the Rockingham circuit in the UK. With all electronic traction and stability aids turned off, the Range Rover Sport SVR is put through its paces by Mike Cross, Chief Engineer Vehicle Integrity for Jaguar Land Rover.

The purpose of the video is to demonstrate the adjustability, balance and body control of the fastest and most powerful Land Rover ever produced. It’s a bit surreal to see a big four-wheel drive SUV drift like that on a circuit. Head down to watch it do that and to learn more about the performance SUV.
