Ideally, when you’re out to set a record with the help of your crazy fast Lamborghini, you might want to consider picking a strip which isn’t located next to a shallow pond. Or any type of body of water, shallow or otherwise.
The driver of this Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo was actually lucky to not get hurt, even though it’s unclear as to why he lost control in the first place. The footage isn’t very revealing but as far as we can tell, the car started to pull towards the cones and the driver may have tried a last second course correction that this 2000 HP monster couldn’t handle traction wise.
The car actually looks ok-ish as it was being towed, probably back to the tuning company – which, taking another guess is probably Underground Racing who offer 1750 WHP (about 2000 HP) on Race Fuel (117 Octane) with their Stage 2 Race Version Turbo System. Plus, they’re based in North Carolina and the phone number on the platform is from a South Carolina area code.
Another guess would be that this is a Dallas Performance twin turbo system, and they do offer a 2000 WHP pack, but we’re sure there are plenty of strips in Texas where you can race your car. No need for such a long road trip.
We can’t help but feel that these types of mods can be quite dangerous if the car doesn’t also get some additional downforce, and some of these twin turbo Lambos head out of the shop without a rear wing.
But again, at least nobody was hurt.
