Yema is a Chinese automaker which we’ve been aware of for a few years. You may remember some of their models, like the Subaru Forestolen and that Audi A4 Avant lookalike.
Now they’ve struck again with this oh-so original new SUV. Yes, it’s blatant aping yet again from Yema, because its new T70 is like a smaller and cheaper VW Touareg.
It’s not a 100 percent replica, as we’ve come to expect, but the inspiration is clearly German on this one, with a hint of Kia (maybe?) at the back.
The T70 has two engine choices, according to CarNewsChina: more potent 170 hp 1.8-liter turbo petrol engine and a continuously variable transmission or the same unit but naturally aspirated, with 131 hp, and a five-speed manual. An electric version of this is planned – oh joy…
