With 521hp and 502lb-ft (680Nm) of torque from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, the Bentley Continental GT V8 S offers just 21hp and 20Nm (15lb-ft) more than the regular Continental GT V8.
Normally, such a small amount of extra power and torque shouldn’t be noticeable, but in the case of the V8 S, it is.
That’s because Bentley did more than just inject more power and torque into the engine. As XCAR’s Alex Goy noticed while reviewing the Continental GT V8 S, it feels more like a sports car than any other Bentley he’s driven.
The GT V8 S models get a lowered sports suspension, increased spring rates, revised damping, recalibrated steering and Continuous Damping Control (CDC) systems, as well as a more permissive Electronic Stability Control system. All these changes did wonders for the Continental GT V8 S, as you can see in the video review posted below.
