Lamborghini will have some nice memories from 2014, which was its best sales year ever with 2,530 sports cars delivered to customers. The figure represents a solid 19 percent growth compared to 2013, when Lamborghini sold 2,121 cars.
Lamborghini has 130 dealers based in 48 countries grouped in three regions: EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), America and Asia Pacific, and each one accounted for approximately one third of global sales.
“We increased sales in all our major regions. Our biggest markets are the USA and Greater China. They are followed by the Middle East, UK, Japan and Germany which each registered significant growth in 2014,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
Sales were evenly distributed between the brand’s two model lines, the 10-cylinder Huracán LP 610-4 (1,137 units) and the 12-cylinder Aventador LP 700-4 in both Coupé and Roadster version (1,128 units). The latter model beat all records of V12 model sales in Lamborghini’s history, posting a 13 percent growth compared to 2013, when 1,001 units were sold.
While Lamborghini delivered 1,137 units Huracáns in the model’s first year on the market, it still has some 2,300 orders to honor (from a total of more than 3,300 orders collected until the end of 2014). This means the Huracán will boost significantly this year’s sales. Finally, the Lamborghini Gallardo, which has been replaced by the Huracán last year, saw 265 deliveries in 2014.
