Not that anybody is complaining, but HRE Wheels are starting to spoil us with all these cool pics they’re taking during their photo shoots. Yesterday there was the 918 Spyder and today we have a pair of track-ready 911 GT3’s.
Feel free to pick your favorite, orange or blue? The Mexico Blue GT3 is featured more heavily and we can clearly see why. It sits on custom HRE Classic 300 wheels finished in brushed silver, measuring 21×9.5 at the front and 21×12.5 at the rear. They also have black center caps and yellow calipers and are made from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 forged aluminum for high strength-to-weight ratio.
Sounds cool as hell and so is the GT3. This is a race-bred 474 HP beast, breathing fire through a 3.8 liter direct fuel injected flat six engine. It will give you maximum output as high as 8.250rpm, it can accelerate from 0-62 mph (100km/h) in just 3.5 seconds and is claimed to be able to reach 124 mph (200km/h) in less than 12 seconds.
The Porsche 911 GT3 also holds a Nürburgring-Nordschleife time of just 7:25 minutes. When your stats are this good, we’re inclined to forgive that old engine failure recall scandal where 785 GT3s had to be fitted with new engines. The owners even got an extra year of warranty out of it so we’re guessing they’re ok with it.
Besides, this isn’t your everyday entry level 911 Carrera. The GT3 is the type of car that will smack you up upside the head and yell at you for driving like you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s a truly special machine and without a doubt, one of the best performance cars to ever come out of Germany.
