Someone over at GM Europe must have a sense of humor (or pride) placing the Bundesadler or “Federal Eagle”, Germany’s coat of arms, as a logo on this prototype’s grille. But the question is, what’s the real badge of this tester?
The next Chevrolet Cruze sedan comes to mind first, but there are differences when we compare it to the China-market 2016 Cruze, including a longer hood, different door lines (both front and rear), and a lengthier rear overhang.
The front and rear ends of the sedan do not feature final production parts, thus making it harder to identify the brand and model. However, we’re thinking of three possible GM cars: a) the next Opel Astra sedan (most likely), b) the North American specification Chevrolet Cruze and c) a replacement for the Opel Ampera.
Like we said, we’re leaning towards the new Astra saloon, one reason being because the front door lines seem to match the next Astra hatch, but you can have your say in the comments that follow.
