If this tuning kit from Brabus for Mercedes-Benz GLA models with factory-fitted AMG sports package looks familiar, it’s because the aftermarket specialist released a similar package last year.
However, the devil is in the details with this latest upgrade, which features a different color combination with a red body paint and gloss black accents including the grille, Brabus logo and lettering. The Brabus Monoblock alloy wheels are painted black instead of the usual silver and feature a new design with red accents.
The interior gets illuminated scuff plates, Brabus floor mats, custom leather surfaces, anodized pedals and door lock pins, and aluminum “Race” shift paddles.
The engine kits remain the same as before. The GLA 250 is boosted from 211PS to 245PS (242hp) for a 0-100km/h sprint in 6.7 sec and a top speed of 250km/h (155mph), while the diesel-powered GLA 220 CDI gets a 40PS boost to 210PS (207hp) and a reduced 0-100km/h time of 8.0 sec with a new maximum speed of 220km/h (137mph).
For the GLA 45 AMG, Brabus offers a power kit that produces 400PS (395hp) and 500Nm (369 lb-ft), up from 360PS (355hp) and 450Nm (331 lb-ft) in the standard model. As a result, the car accelerates from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270km/h (168mph).
