You don’t need us to tell you what a unique and innovative car the DS was back in its day. Citroen was aware of this and also chose to market and promote the car in a way that reflects it particular character.
This article concentrates on trying to gather all the ones that are still out there and have been uploaded to the web. There’s probably a lot more of them that are not in digital format, from different markets around the world, the most important of which got bespoke campaigns.
The ads concentrated on the DS’ quirky yet efficient design and the various gadgets it could be bought with. Obviously, the suspension is always a big talking point, but so are the swiveling headlights or the laid back, serene nature that Citroen wants you to have while at the wheel.
