Edward Wallace, 26, is one very reckless yet amazingly, inconceivably lucky driver to be alive and well after being ejected out of his car during a highway crash in Ohio.

A dramatic dash-cam video released by the Ohio Highway Patrol (OHP) shows what happened on Interstate 90 in January when Wallace was driving his 2005 Ford Explorer too fast for the snowy road conditions. Police said they estimate he was going at 70 mph (113mph) on the 60mph (97 km/h) road.

Wallace lost control and hit the rear end of a 1986 Ford Crown Victoria before crashing into the barrier that sent his Explorer across four lanes, while also throwing him out of the car, as he was not wearing his seatbelt.

“Crashes like this one from January serve as reminders to be careful when driving in winter conditions,” OHP said in the video’s description. “Slow down, pay attention, leave distance between yourself and other vehicles and always wear your safety belt. Also, remember to #moveoverfor emergency vehicles!”

According to a report from the NY Daily, Wallace was treated for facial and back injuries, while the driver of the Crown Vic was treated for a concussion and back injuries, with both men having been released from the hospital.
