Fiat has announced US pricing for its 2016 500X crossover, which will arrive in dealerships in the second quarter of this year. Fans can now configure the 500X on the carmaker’s website, with prices starting from $20,000 for the entry-level Pop trim (excluding a $900 destination charge).
The 2016 Fiat 500X is available in five trim levels, the first three of which (Pop, Easy and Lounge) are more street-oriented, offering a more urban appearance. The Trekking and Trekking Plus models feature a more aggressive and athletic look, with unique front and rear fascia designs and satin silver accents.
Easy models are priced from $22,300, while Lounge models start from $24,850. Trekking and Trekking Plus models are priced from $23,100 and $27,100 respectively. All prices exclude the $900 destination charge. For the Easy, Trekking, Lounge and Trekking Plus models Fiat also offers an all-wheel-drive drive system, which is a $1,900 option.
“Personalization is a big part of who we are as a brand, so we are giving our customers a chance to jump-start the process and customize a Fiat 500X that fits their own needs and personality. Also, Fiat fans can now visit a studio to reserve a vehicle and be one of the first to own the Italian-made Fiat 500X,” said Jason Stoicevich, head of Fiat Brand North America.
The 2016 Fiat 500X is available with two four-cylinder gasoline engines in the United States: the 160hp 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and the 180hp 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 naturally-aspirated engine, which is offered exclusively with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
