During the Shaman Winter Fishing Festival on February 1st, three passengers manage to escape out the windows of a rapidly sinking Audi Q7, in Changchun, Jilin Province (Northeast China).
Fresh off that Audi Quattro video we posted yesterday, we can’t help but think that irony and accidental humor oftentimes tend to go hand in hand. But seriously now, it’s hard to say exactly what happened with the driver, even after witnesses described the car approaching too quickly and skidding onto the frozen reservoir.
The three passengers, a man, a woman and child, managed to get out before the car became completely submerged – which took about 5 minutes. Regardless if the incident was unavoidable or just due to speed and carelessness, we’re certainly glad everybody is OK.
We also hope the guy’s insurance will cover him and he gets a new car, maybe even the latest generation Q7 – but we wouldn’t hold our breath (no pun indented).
