Diesel or Petrol? Petrol or Diesel? How about compressed natural gas? Just €20 worth of it can apparently get you from Barcelona to Madrid – a full 615km.
This Leon ST TGI used CNG to get the job done, while being more eco-friendly and more efficient than the equivalent..more conventional models. SEAT claim that a CNG car costs up to 50% less to run than a petrol car and 30% less than a turbodiesel.
We can see why this would be an advantage. A natural gas-powered car will automatically have lower CO2 emissions and will often give you lower consumption, allowing you to drive further than before, for less money.
If by any chance you can’t find a CNG station nearby, the Leon TGI will automatically switch to its full-sized fuel tank, and provide you with even greater autonomy. Your CO2 emissions will read 94 g/km in this case, which is on par with what you’d normally get in more modern three-cylinder 1.0 liter petrol cars.
We’re truly impressed with the distance covered by this Leon ST CNG, and it’s comforting to know that performance wise, it’ll still give you 110 PS, which may not sound like much but this is our planet we’re talking about here! And of course, our wallets.
