BMW and its four DTM teams showed the new liveries of the M4 DTM racing car for the 2015 season on the Monteblanco circuit in Spain, where the cars gathered for a photo shoot.
While the cars look largely the same as in 2014, BMW Motorsport engineers have made some technical changes in line with the regulations of the touring car series. They focused on the requirements resulting from the change in race format, as well as on further refining the components unaffected by the homologation.
The four BMW DTM teams will feature different liveries, beginning with reigning champion Marco Wittmann, who will once again be at the wheel of BMW Team RMG’s Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM sporting the colors of the Belgian watch manufacturer and BMW Motorsport Premium Partner.
As Official Partner, the H&R logo will also be visible on the doors of Wittmann’s car in 2015. Wittmann’s team-mate, Maxime Martin, will drive the Samsung BMW M4 DTM.
Martin Tomczyk will continue with BMW Team Schnitzer, with the 2011 DTM champion to start his fourth season in traditional BMW M colors at the wheel of the BMW M Performance Parts M4 DTM. His new team-mate, António Félix da Costa, will compete in the Red Bull BMW M4 DTM.
Augusto Farfus will drive BMW Team RBM’s Shell BMW M4 DTM sporting the red and yellow design of BMW Motorsport’s new Premium Technology Partner. BMW Team MTEK’s Bruno Spengler and Timo Glock will drive the BMW Bank M4 DTM and the Deutsche Post BMW M4 DTM, respectively. The details of the BMW M4 DTM of Tom Blomqvist will be announced at a later date.
The BMW teams will complete their first test of the year in the coming week in Portimão, with the 2015 DTM season beginning on May 2 at Hockenheim.
